I love these contests, they're just so fun :]

This week was candid shots and i absolutely love this one.
Me and my friends went salsa dancing and i just started
talking pictures and this is one of my favorites of Kelsey
and Brian. This picture just shows their personalities
through their facial expressions, love it.

Frenzyy

So me and Kirk decided we wanted to go to fall frenzy.
We drew X's on our hands and his brother brought us
tickets out so we could walk in. I chatted with the security
about my water bottle, walked in easy breezy.

This Morning was nice, the weather was cooler and I actually had the opportunity to

eat breakfast outside with the familia while watching my insane puppy get distracted by

anything that moved.

Starbucks and Friends

So after the study abroad fair me and Jordan walked downstairs in the MU.
Naturally i ran into someone I knew because that always happens when I should be
going to class. And, of course I didn't end up going to class. Yet it always seems that
being surrounded by friends for hours just chatting away is a much better idea then going
to listen to a lecture that you can just read about in the books. It was a good day for ditching.

Ooooh and weirdest part of the day, after small group Chris and I went to Del Taco for three tacos for a dollar (gotta love college students) and when we pulled in the parking lot there was this hobo-ish guy sleeping in a car with the door open half hanging out with the radio on. Ha so random, I told him I'd take a picture if he was still there and when we left he was sitting up looking super creepy in the drivers seat. Ha, awesome day.

This picture is from a church picnic that we had a few years back.
My sister and i were playing with the kids and blowing bubbles
and this is one of the pictures that was taken. I really like how the light
hits the bubbles, and how you can actually see the process of the bubble
being blown, dripping mess and all :]

Happy August

It's funny how I'm excited for school to start :D
I should have some eventful weeks before school starts though,
this week planning on doing a few day trips, photoshoots, camping,
and hopefully california, but we'll see how that plays out...

hmm should probably start my day now.

It was hard for me to adhere to the rules of having a face clearly visible in the picture because most of the pictures I take aren't necessarily posed. Normally I shoot from behind at a more artistic angle, hopefully this is enough face. This picture was taken on a trip to visit my sister working at the Coast Guard Base in Petaluma, California. This is Alex, my new friend, who is now a newly graduated Petty Officer Third Class. This picture was taken at Miwok Beach while my sister and him were enjoying a weekend away from base.

Asian Babiess

Church was good stuff today, loved worship, it was so worshipy.
Went to lunch with John, Andy, Kim, and the babehs.
I love them so much, bubba is my favoriteeee.
Can't wait till i have a little asian niece
or nephew...or both. Come on taylor!

the peace core?

Ha so momma and me were talking this morning about taylor moving away and how i'm going to stay here and probably buy a house or something in a few years. She made the comment that she never thought i'd be the kid living down the street, said she thought i'd joing the peace core and get away hahaha.

But, good week had a nice long talk with aaron yesterday which was cool since i don't know him very well. Spent some time at the man house ended up cleaning their kitchen...oh cool momma lex ha, and just chillin have friend time.

Cali tomorrow! I'm excited to see my sister and once again spend another weekend away from work haha.

Pitchforks

Today while in Pitchforks i was eating with crystal and brittany. Walked around and found a table with a guy next to the wall sleeping with his head in his book. We felt the need to write him an encouraging note so we did. We didn't have any paper so i just ripped out math pages, eh who needs them? So we wrote a verse on there encouraging him to be strong and told him we hope he has a great week and that takes time to realize the simple happiness in life. He got up to get more food so i ran over and put it on top of the book he was studying out of. We left but i wanted to see if he actually read it because hey who knows right. So we were outside by the window just talking and trying to be casual about it, even though we probably failed miserably. But he moved the note away and i was so sad thinking he wasn't going to read it. But then he opened it and started smiling, and it made me heart so happy! I really hope that we did make his day and that he does feel encouraged especially since the semester is ending and people seem to be stressing out too much and not focusing on anything but school. Definitely have realized stress is pointless, and sometimes we need to find joy in the simple things in life like being piled and cuddled up with people from your small group on a couch in the backyard, yea true story :]

oh and p.s. amy is a freaking amazing artist!

EASTER

was so eventful! Woke up at like 5:15 this morning and got ready to go to church. Keyboard has issues so i didn't know if i'd be able to play sunrise service till about 15 min before. Then had breakfast at church finally able to eat some food! Played once again in regular service then got to go home and chillll. oh yeaa baby swanson got baptized though too :] lovve her
Picked up kelsey and she came to dinner with the family and pastor rod and karen.
Then we tye dyed shirts for kirk and rob!! they'll look fantastic. Watched stepbrothers and then decided that halfway through to make a little video from some quotes from it so amazing. Started talking to aaron and he was just chilin at home alone so we figured we'd go visit brought him some ham, hey it'll only be like 45 min...yea hung out with him for like 3 hours. I got to drive his carr oh babyy so weird though. We did the whole diet coke and mentos thing, then we decided it'd be fun to make napalm. It was. But it didn't quite work the way we wanted. Kirk came home so we all chilled and talked and decided to watch the new show The Cougar when it starts, YES!

so yes that was my interesting easter hope you enjoyed, i did
but it's 2 in the morning which means i've been up entirely too long.

Wisdom teeth removal sucks. Most of the people i talked to it was no big deal, but no...my cheeks just had to swell, then today one side started to bruise, and of course the pain isn't subsiding. :/ This is no fun. Dad looked at my mouth and said it looks like there is some puss or something on one side ugh hopefully it's not and the penicillin is working. But, I'm pretty sure that they hit a nerve because i still don't have all the feeling back in my lip, so that's a major bummer.

But enough complaining, Pod was good today. I love Amy and Crystal and i wish Brittany was there because we started off talking about our weeks, got into Isaiah 61 about the year of the Lords favor and then Amy started talking about what was going on in her life and it was good stuff, so glad we are in a pod together. :)

Andddd my TOMS shipped today!! so excited to get them even though Danger said i'm lame for just getting white ones, but it's ok once they get to dirty i'm gonna paint or dye them.

Haha i love how i started blogging more randomly, it's ok though no one reads this anyone except for maybe tay, so it's ok. But vicodin is kickin in, which equals bed for me.

Bleghh my face is swollen on both sides now and my lip and part of my chin is still numb...i hope it wears off and they didn't hit a nerve :/

So to start this off on a bright note, Kirk got baptized in the fountain yesterday after CRU, soooo great!!



and for the sucky part...
Ugh so wisdom teeth are ridiculous. No biggie at first, they put the IV in and just started pouring stuff in it, got really cold and and the doctor guy said that people on the street would pay a lot of money for the drugs he was giving me. I started laughing, and i couldn't control it, and don't remember anything else. I remembered asking what he was putting on my lips and it was Vaseline, i though it was funny again but wasn't sure if i was wake or asleep, mom said i was awake and laughing a lot apparently haha.

It was fine i had the gauze in but on the way home all of a sudden my mouth started bleeding more and when we got in the house the blood was uncontrollable and of course my lips were numb so it was going everywhere totally gross. I decided that my way of describing it is you know in movies when someone gets shot and they're dying so the blood just starts running out of their mouth, yea that was me, sick. So my and mom didn't know what to do so she called the doctor and they told us to use tea bags? we did then went back so they could check up on it. Said it was fine so we went back home.
And of course got home and it was once again bleeding uncontrollably :/
not the greatest experience...But it's better now. I feel so ridiculous for sitting around the entire day sleeping and watching movies. But it was nice for john to bring me cheesecake haha hope i can eat it soon!

But, tomorrow dad works and mom is doing the tour de phoenix, bummer i'm gonna be home alone, sad day :(

The Confusion

Ugh, I hate the complexity of things sometimes.

LNO was so amazing last night and it was so great to actually have it hit about how a man is supposed to treat you. Like listening to the guys talk about relationships and things from their point of view and especially hearing Eric talk about April, just wow that's all I can say about how a relationship is supposed to work.
It helps you realize what you should actually be looking for in a relationship, which in turns shows that I'm not entirely ready yet, I still need to search in myself and God to find out exactly what I need. Like i want someone i can grow with in God, i want to be like my parents, they've been together for so long and yet still do bible studies together and ya there's hard times but those are always there...no matter what but it's the fact that there is commitment, but it's also a commitment with God.
It's so good that I figured that out, yet it makes me sad to know that someone I've been spending time with and wanted to get to know and possibly date, can't happen now, might not ever happen, one of those things you have to give to God even though it's so difficult. :/

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

Street Preachers

So i really don't like street preachers at ASU that much.
Today there was a couple saying they were Baptists and
they held up a big sign saying that if you masturbate, lie,
fornicate, and whatever else you're going to hell. It's just not
the way to do it, arguing with people and telling them that
tolerance is a sin and you're going to hell for it, not really the
way to go about it.

But then i ran into Jenni. We talked about it and she pointed out an older hobo-ish man standing quietly on the side simply holding two signs in his hand looking not quite defeated, but a tad bit sad. She said he was there earlier and was simply just talking to people about the truth and about God's love. He seemed nice so i went up to him and asked him if i could pet his dog then brought up his signs and asked him about them. He told me about how he became a Christian and whenever anyone came up to him and asked him what he thought about the other people everyone was making fun of he simply stated very nicely they were preaching the gospel. He didn't judge anyone like the other two and seemed like a genuine person. Maybe i'm wrong, but i would rather
talk to a nice guy like him over two people that judge and get angry with the people that
need love the most.

Blogging is a funny word...
&& I'm not sure how I feel about it
but it's ok I'll try it because I realize
mabe it'll be good to just write stuff down.
Plus Tay is going away and I know to keep up
with her, her blog will probably be an easy
way along with facebook and skype and whatever
else.

So, winterbreak was good, spent most of it with friends,
started working at Crackers again, haha ok now I feel like
I'm rambling...so I'll finish with I had a fun time in Tucson
visitng and hanging out with all my friends.  And I think i'll have
to agree with Missa that Death Cab is very good chill driving music
lately their songs have just been stuck in my head :)
